“Lauschen” is a German word describing a deep, attentive form of listening — one that involves focus, stillness, and presence.

I chose the gourd as my material for both its form and its symbolism. In Taoism, the gourd represents the connection between the macrocosm and the microcosm — the vast and the intimate, the outer and the inner worlds.

Its rounded, bulging shape acts like a natural funnel, gathering sounds, amplifying them, and channeling them inward — toward the listener’s inner space.

The objects are accompanied by a series of screen prints.
