HOLOGRAPHY IN JEWELRY

Anja Eichler & Jürgen Eichler

Holography in Jewelry combines the work of visual artist Anja Eichler and laser physicist Jürgen Eichler.

By integrating holograms into jewelry, the works create images that shift with the wearer's movement. They reflect the contemporary world's fascination with visual technologies while questioning the relationship between images, reality, and perception.

HOLOFLORIDA

Artist Excellence Award, Society of Arts & Crafts, Boston, 2025

HoloFlorida shows flower-like holograms holograms that correspond with underlying motifs of flowers. The objects used to create the hologram are bent metal plates feigning to be flowers. The hologram might, in one moment, shine in its brightest colors, whereas in the next, it might be hidden by the background motive. What one perceives is quite literally in the eye of the beholder—inviting reflection on the boundaries between reality and illusion.
