FEMME FRAGILE refers both to this historical ideal and to its lingering presence in contemporary society. Yet appearances can be deceiving: what seems fragile is not necessarily so.

Eggs — symbols of fragility and femininity — form the central material of this series. They are treated to become unexpectedly robust. Still, the material itself influences the behavior of both the wearer and those who encounter the work.
