Anja Eichler is responsible for the artistic concept and the making of the jewelry pieces, Jürgen Eichler masters the technological aspects of producing the holograms.
Through the computer, the internet and new technologies like AR and VR, the analogue world moves via screens into the virtual space.

The same is done by a hologram since it is a depiction of a 3D object encoded in a two dimensional layer.

All these technologies raise numerous questions, the most important being: What is the relationship between the depiction of reality and 'the real thing'?

Using holograms for jewelry underlines these questions since the hologram, especially when worn, will not always show the object it depicts. If it does, the appearance of the object will change with the light reflecting on it.
HOLOFLORIDA
HoloFlorida shows flower-like holograms holograms that correspond with underlying motifs of flowers. The objects used to create the hologram are not flowers but bent metal plates. The hologram changes its appearance, in one moment, it might shine in its brightest colors, whereas in the next, it might be hidden by the background motive. What is to be seen lies literally in the eyes of the beholder and poses the question of what is 'real' and what an illusion.
