Contemporary Jewelry in China
Jewelry in China - what usually comes to mind is: cheap mass produced jewelry, plagiarized designs, the strive for luxury brands and luxury items like watches and jewelry with the big bling, jade and gold. However, aside of all that, another jewelry scene is growing, slowly but steadily. Contemporary jewelry also got a foothold in China driven by an enthusiastic and talented community of makers, professors at universities who push the field forward in their departments and courageous people who open galleries for this kind of jewelry. Living in China and having found all this, I decided to share my insights on Art Jewelry Forum.
